Good afternoon, Ladies and Gentlemen. I am Ian Brown and as you can see I am Chairman of SCOTS. SCOTS stands for the Society of Chief Officers of Transportation in Scotland; an organisation once known as the County Surveyor’s Society - Scottish Branch. SCOTS provides the opportunity for all Directors and Heads of Roads and Transportation in Scotland to meet and work jointly on current Roads and Transportation issues.
As you might expect, Road Safety is a key area of activity and the SCOTS Road Safety and Traffic Management working group is active over a number of fronts.
