The Children’s Traffic Club in Scotland
The CTCS (Children’s Traffic Club in Scotland) was launched in 1995 in order to help reduce the number of children injured in accidents each year.
Invitations to join the club are sent out to parents of all children approaching their third birthday. Once registered, the parent will receive six CTCS books for the child at three month intervals. A membership certificate is sent out with the first pack as well as a plastic folder to keep the books in. Each book contains pictures, stories and activities to help children have fun whilst learning to stay safe when by the road. The books contain checklists for the parents to see how much their child has learnt so far.
