Accessibility statement

We are working hard to ensure that all pages produced on the Road Safety Scotland website will conform to the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Double-A standard.

Road Safety Scotland have implemented a number of useful features that will help all users browse and discover resources on our website. These features include:

• Providing a site wide standard layout and navigation structure

• Alternative textual descriptions for images

• Allowing the user to resize the text using the browsers resize option

• Allow users to skip directly to the content area of the page

• All pages have a logical document structure using headings and paragraphs to aid navigation with alternative browsers

• Link text will make sense when read out of context

• 'Breadcrumb' trail navigation to help with navigation within a section of the site

• A sitemap which provides an overview of the site structure and organisation

• Cascading style sheets for visual layout and presentation

• This site uses only relative font sizes, compatible with the user-specified 'text size' option in visual browsers  

• If your browser or browsing device does not support stylesheets at all the content of each page is still readable
